I'm going through another shawl loving stage. Having recently cast off another (yes, I think this is number 5!) Ishbel I am addicted again. This latest one was knitted for my mum whose birthday it was a few weeks ago :) It actually still needs to be blocked so I'll post a picture once I've done that. Hmm, really should get on to it!
On the needles now I have a Brangian. This pattern is written by Bronwyn Parry and I've been meaning to purchase and knit it ever since it was released. It is a great pattern, written very well and I am really enjoying seeing the shawl come together. I'm knitting it in a 4ly I hand dyed myself. I'm having a lot of trouble getting an accurate photo of the colour, but here's a photo of it straight out of the dye pot.
It is a very subtle variation of colours and I'm really liking how it's knitting up so far. Hope to have some finished photos for you soon :)
Nice colour! Did you use the Pacific coloured dye? Did you use any other colours?
ReplyDeleteThanks :) Yes, it's a mixture of Pacific, Sage (I think) and Alfalfa. It looked like a real solid in the pot but now dried and knitted you can definately see the different colours :)
